Today(act it was on 7th raya), we made SCONE. This is some kind of pastry mainly from flour and butter. It was awa that suggest we made this for today tea. When it’s eaten hot, it was delicious. With the kurma sweetness and some sourness from sour cream, it was perfect. The crumbs from the top part, jiji like it very much but still, awa get furious when he eat that part only. Some part of it we give to akak’s friend. We pack for him since it getting dark when the scone is done. Hope he enjoy it.
Ingredient
400g flour
3 tp baking powder
½ tp soda bicarbonate
¼ tp salt
100g sugar
100g butter
1 tbs lemon
1 cup sour cream
1 cup kurma/kismis/prune
Instructions
Mix well flour, soda bicarbonate, salt and sugar. Mix butter (room temperature) that has been cut into small pieces. Make it into crumbs. Pour in kurma and sour cream, and lemon skin. Take out the dough and shape it like pizza dough. Cut into triangle and bake it for 204°C for 25 minutes.
